Irwindale Speedway Set to Close in December

(Los Angeles, CA) Irwindale Speedway is shuttering its doors before the New Year. This closing joins a long list of Southern California racetracks that have came and went. Most recently, the 2.5 mile Auto Club Superspeedway. Irwindale enjoyed a successful 20-year campaign before ultimately closing up shop.

Austin plans to continue to race in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Series, and will be considering a move to Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway or SoCal’s last local paved short-track Orange Show Speedway for the spring of 2025.

There is one last date for fans wanting to see Austin race: December 21 will be the last race ever at Irwindale Speedway. So, grab your hoodie and your popcorn, and enjoy the show!
